| Welcome |
|
I am Anne Dupre and will be standing for Deputy in St. Clement in the upcoming elections on 26th November 2008. I am Jersey born, educated at FCJ and I am 60 years young. I have lived in the Parish for over 30 years and continue to work part time as a doctors' secretary/receptionist, where I’ve been for 17 years. I am a volunteer at Jersey Hospice Care. I have been there for 26 years and served on the JHC council for 16 years until 2005. I am in favour of kerbside recycling, and I hope if elected to work with the Connetable and other Parish officials to make this happen. GST on childrens clothes and food should not have happened. I know that there is a ‘black hole’ but I feel sure there must be other ways to fund this, as GST affects the Island as a whole, but especially the low paid and pensioners. I am compassionate, considerate, caring and most of all, have a lot of common sense. I am also in possession of a good sense of humour! Please have a look at my manifesto to find out what I'd like to see happen in the Parish of St. Clement and the Island of Jersey. |
